DIFA participates at the HealthAI Global Governance Forum

DIFA Consultancy participated in the Health AI Global Governance Forum, contributing to critical global conversations on the future of responsible AI in healthcare. Discussions throughout the forum highlighted a rapidly evolving governance landscape shaped by regulatory fragmentation, growing emphasis on digital sovereignty, and persistent infrastructure inequities across regions. Drawing on insights from the AI Governance in Health: Global Landscape 2025 Report, participants emphasized the widening gap between policy and practice, underscoring the need for more coherent, adaptable, and inclusive regulatory approaches.

DIFA engaged with these themes, reinforcing the importance of aligning innovation with governance frameworks that can effectively respond to the pace and complexity of AI deployment in health systems. Our team also took part in a session on “When AI in Health Fails: A Framework for Detection, Diagnosis and Response”, a hands-on workshop focused on operationalizing governance principles in real-world settings. The session explored how health systems can move beyond static regulatory models by embedding continuous monitoring, post-market surveillance, and performance audits to manage risks associated with adaptive AI. Through practical application of structured methodologies, including early warning detection, root cause analysis, and system-level response mechanisms, participants examined how to ensure safety, accountability, and resilience across the AI lifecycle.

This Forum was aligned with DIFA’s capability to support institutions in designing and implementing robust AI governance systems, particularly in strengthening failure response frameworks, enhancing oversight mechanisms, and building trust in AI-enabled healthcare delivery.
