Alex Kiwara is a student researcher with interests primarily in the field of AI Governance. He has notably served as a Researcher and Pre-Fellow at the Studies in Transformative AI (STAI) Program at ILINA, preparing research memoranda on critical AI technical safety challenges, as well as developments in AI Law and Policy. He is currently in his fourth-year at the Strathmore University Law School pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.). 

 

Alex has also partaken in consultancy work, having served as an Undergraduate Researcher with the Kenyan Chapter of TradeLab Geneva, under the affiliation of AfriTrade Consultancy Group. He is currently a Senior Editor at the Strathmore Law Review, an annual peer-reviewed legal journal. His other interests lie in International Trade Law, Regional Integration and Constitutional Law.
